Richmond Night Market

Night market is my second house because food is my bestfriend.

Richmond Night Market is one of the hottest places in Vancouver this Summer for locals and tourist to experience. The market has been open since 2000 and is one of the largest night markets in North America.

When you go to this kind of night market, you need to be early. If not, you will be stuck on the traffic. However, there is a fast lane to those who doesn’t want to fall in line, but there will be also a line in fast lane if you were late for a bit. When we went to the night market for the third time, we got there by thirty minutes early but still, wefall in line right away in the fast lane. Then, the line is thrice longer than when we arrived a few minutes ago. So, it is better be early than waiting in long line.

Another tip is bring extra money, because trust me, you will be penniless as soon as you leave the premises. It is not because the food is expensive, but because the food is appealing and delectable. So you can’t stop buying until you won’t notice that you don’t have money anymore.

Another tip, go to Rotato stall first before anything else, if you want to taste this kind of food. Because this is the longest food line at the night market. It’s super popular and they essentially sell potato (chips) on a stick. They spin a potato into a billion spirals on a stick and deep fry it till it’s crispy. Add flavouring, and you’ve got yourself a delicious rotato!

Happy Place

One of the best day I had when we went to California Disneyland! It is the place where my childhood memories brought back.

However, we just went there for one day. For sure, One day is not enough but I still enjoyed it despite of limited time we had.

Knowing that the Happiest Place on Earth can be also one of the busiest places on Earth, it’s helpful to have some strategies in play when you hit the parks.

Therefore, here is a list of tips that will help you maximize your time at Disneyland, so you won’t encounter what I experience when I went to Disneyland for the first time:

1. Buy tickets online.

When you buy tickets in advance, you’ll go straight through to the entrance and won’t have to spend any time in ticket booth lines, which can save you an hour on a busy day! Also, if you purchase a 3-day ticket or longer, you’ll be eligible for Magic Morning. With Magic Morning, you can enjoy one day of early admission to Disneyland Park usually on Tuesday, Thursday or Saturday.

2. Pick the best times to visit.

While it’s always a good time to visit Disneyland, there are times during the year that are better than others. Holidays, school schedules and annual passholders have a big impact on Disneyland’s schedule

3. Stay on property as close as you can

I know the three onsite hotels—Disneyland Hotel, Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel and Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel are quite expensive. So, if the budget can’t afford the onsite hotels stay in the offsite hotels near Disneyland. There are some hotels that are actually closer than the resort hotels and less than a 5-minute walk to the Esplanade that connects the entrances of Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure. If you stay close by, you won’t have to pay to park at Disneyland and you won’t lose any time in the parking garage. There are other benefits of staying at hotels near Disneyland too! There are also hotels that are a short walk to the free parking lot shuttles.

4. Ease your way through the security line.

The best way to get through the security line quickly is to be prepared. Make sure all of your bags are out and open for the cast member to peek into. Have keys, cell phone, coins and any metal devices ready to be passed to the guard at the security scanners. Have something that you know will buzz, such as a belt? Take it off and shove it into a bag for a moment.

6. Get to the parks before they open.

I say this over and over again to my friends, but it’s true—the very shortest waits of the day are in the first hours of a park’s opening. When you arrive at the park before it opens, you will be one of the very first people inside the parks.

7. Make use of Fastpass.

The Fastpass system is one of the best ways to maximize your time at Disneyland. In case you’re not familiar with the system — select attractions in both parks allow you to insert your park ticket and get a pass that gives you a return time to the specified attraction.Hop back through the Fastpass Return line for a minimal wait.

There are a few fine points worth mentioning. You can only use the Fastpass during the specified one-hour return time window. You’ll grab your new Fastpass after a waiting period once the return time window opens for the current pass you are holding or two hours have passed since you obtained your most recent Fastpass. The earlier you arrive at an attraction, the earlier in the day the Fastpass return time will be. Finally, many attractions do run out of Fastpasses, so don’t count on Fastpasses to be available at the most popular attractions later in the day — especially at Disney California Adventure.

When we went to the Disneyland for the first time, we didn’t know that there is a Fastpass. So, it took us long time to line up all attractions we tried.

Experience in the Philippines

There are a few thing you should ride when you visit Philippines.

JEEPNEY

Jeepney, the famous public transporation.

This is what people usually ride to go to their destination. Usually, maximum twenty passagers could fit in a jeepney.

They were originally made from US military jeeps left over from World War II and are well known for their flamboyant decoration and crowded seating.

TRICYCLE

The tricycle or also knon as trike is a three-wheeled, gasoline-run motorized vehicle. It is made up of a motorcycle attached to a sidecar with multiple seating and a covered roof. The roof is often used as baggage compartment, and the back is often extended to serve the same purpose. Depending on the size of the sidecar and the number of seating places, the typical tricycle can carry five to seven passengers. In provinces and small towns, where road regulation is less strict, overloading is common and trikes can seat an additional four passengers.

The tricycle from various regions in the country do not often look the same. The differences lie heavily in the design and seating capacity of the sidecar. The ‘dashboard’ of the motorcycle may also look different.

PEDICAB

The pedicab is a three-wheeled, human-powered mechanical vehicle. It is made up of a bicycle attached to a sidecar that can seat up to two people. These may come with a roof for both the driver and the passengers, or none. It can seat at most four people.

Pedicabs is like a trikes from various regions in the country do not often look the same. The differences lie heavily in the design and seating capacity of the sidecar. The ‘dashboard’ of the motorcycle may also look different.

For sure, it will offer you a different and unique experience and feeling when you ride these three transportation!

However, you need to have even-tempered before planning to ride one of these vehicles. Why? Because you need to wait sometimes, especially when you are going to ride a jeepney. Plus, the temperature feels like you are inside of an oven.

Leho: Hongkong

I went to Honkong last May 31 and it gives me a new experiences.

Hong Kong is endlessly fascinating! Therefore, it’s impossible to get bored here.

Here are some things to do in hong kong:

Unlimited shopping spree

Do you know the authentic rubber shoes is much cheaper in hongkong?

Definitely, because there are so many shoe factories that you could find in hong kong as what our tour guide said.

Therefore, you can have unlimited shopping spree of shoes in the morning! Especially, the hong kong dollar has lower value than canadian dollar.

But keep in mind what you buy because some items are expensive due to their limited land. According to our tour guide, some product is becoming high-priced because                     it only has small land. Therefore, their building is gigantic.

Sagrada Familia

Sagrada Familia – The tallest church which makes it famous.

The Sagradra Familia is a famous church in Barcelona, Spain. This is one of the hottest tourist spot nowaday.

Many people, including me, assume that this huge, elaborate Gaudí building must be Barcelona’s main Cathedral—but not so! The Sagrada Familia is in fact a Basilica, meaning a Church that had been granted special status by the Pope.

It is located over the apse and stands 138 metres tall, surrounding the large hyperboloid that lights, the altar, drawing sunlight from outside into the presbytery. The inside of the tower will be an empty monumental space full of light.

Of the 135 metres tall they will stand by 2022, the four towers of the Evangelists are now at 90.10 metres, on the fourth of the thirteen levels they will have. Once finished, they will stand 135 metres tall with their pinnacles. Plus, they have put in two of the four bridges that will connect the towers of the evangelists to the tower of Jesus Christ.

In 2018, work is focusing on continuing to establish the towers of the Evangelists and the Virgin Mary and beginning work on the tower of Jesus Christ. The remaining symbolic elements on the upper portico of the Passion façade are also being executed and put in place. Currently, 70% of the Basilica is finished, and they are working on building the six central towers.

Up to now, 156 panels have been put in place on the tower of the Virgin Mary. Precisely, they are currently on the twelfth of a total of nineteen levels, with the tower standing at 97.68 metres. It is anticipated to reach 102.31 metres by the end of the year.

All things considered, it will be the tallest, at 172.5 metres when it is finish. The shell is made up of twelve paraboloids (like the dome of the sacristy) of triangular windows, with svelte porphyry arrises at the corners, representing the blood of Jesus Christ. Inside, 85 metres from the temple, visitors will enter a first space, 60 metres up, with a stone spiral staircase with a glass enclosed lift at the centre.

Now, let’s talk about the exterior!

Not only the interior is stunning, but it was also drastically different from the exterior. Unlike the façade, with its striking carvings, the inside was made of sleek, white stone painted by colored light from the elaborate stained glass windows all around the room. It was utterly breathtaking.

Do you know that there is also a museum in there?

images

Outside and down some stairs, I didn’t expected to see a museum. It included many things, such as Gaudí’s designs, models, and information about the history and construction of the building.

Additionally, you can pay to go up either the Passion or Nativity Façade. After a short elevator ride, you will be at the top of the tower, giving an unforgettable view of the city.

Therefore, going to the historical Sagrada Familia will give you a blast!
